This Thursday, we will have the folks from local favorite Black Abbey Brewing in the store for a free in-store tasting of their delicious brews!

At Black Abbey Brewing Company, we take an artisanal approach to beer, crafting unique and approachable ales from the highest quality ingredients. Yet it’s more than that. We strive to supply liquid refreshment that is greater than the sum of its fine parts. Our beers are created. Not made. Right here in Nashville.

Tasting Friday!
This Friday, we have a Tasting Bar Takeover with Nashville's own Tennessee Brew Works!

Tennessee Brew Works was born of the thirst for high quality, well-crafted, flavorful beer. We are proud to call the great state of Tennessee home to the Tennessee Brew Works brewery and taproom, where we create our "finely tuned craft beer." With fine traditions in many things including both music and spirits, we hope to capture the essence of the land and culture in all of our brews. We strive to create our brews as efficiently as possible, minimizing waste and raw material utilization in our brew processes; doing our part for conservation. We believe that brewing is a collaboration between art, science and culture!
We are all about supporting our local breweries, so come on out and taste their delicious beer!

Friday Tasting with Red Eye Rye!
This Friday, we will have the folks from Barsmith in the store to let you sample their locally made Rye & Coffee spirit, Red Eye Rye!
From the Distillery:
Red Eye Rye is a unique and versatile spirit born behind the bar in Nashville, Tennessee. Rye whiskey, 100% Arabica coffee from South America and granulated sugar are blended together to create a bold and complex spirit that is great on its own or mixed into a classic cocktail. Roasted coffee, toasted hazelnut and pepper spice make up the nose of the spirit. On the palate Red Eye Rye starts with dark coffee turning into smooth vanilla and toasted nut flavor and finishing with a dry pepper spice mellowed slightly by a round sweetness. Red Eye Rye is free of caramel color, grain spirit, or any other fillers or additives. Bottled at 80 proof / 40% ABV and made with pure rye whiskey using a 95% rye and 5% malted barley mash bill.

This Saturday, we will have the folks from Big River Distilling in the store to let you sample their locally made whiskey!
From the Distillery:
Blues inspired and crafted to be as unique as a blue note. Our story begins on Beale. Famous for Southern music, food and drink. It's the true Home of the Blues. Blue Note Bourbon is artfully crafted to honor the blues music and traditions that came to life on the streets of Memphis. Like the blues, this spirit is bold yet smooth. No two batches are ever the same, so sit back, relax and enjoy a bourbon as unique as the blues.
We will taste:

Wine of the Week time....let's do this!
Whether or not buying organic, one thing to keep in mind is where your wine comes from. It’s not a hard and fast rule, but in general most wines coming out of Europe tend to be at least PRACTICING organic. However, given that most of those vineyards have been doing it that way for hundreds of years, many just choose not to pay to have it certified.
On that note, enter Scarpetta Barbera del Monferrato! This wine is the brain child of a Master Sommelier and a world renowned chef-definitely the two people you want bringing wine to the table!
This is 100% Barbera from Monferrato in the Piemonte region of northern Italy, arguably THE birthplace of Barbera. This vineyard is practicing organic and putting out about the truest expression of Babera out there! It is medium bodied with luscious blackberries and raspberries bursting from the glass! On the back end you get just a hint of tobacco and cedar that truly ground the wine. The finish is soft and velvety with just a hint of the dusty soil in which it’s grown!
This wine would pair perfectly with cured meats and cheeses, but would also make an amazing addition to any meal involving pizza or pasta! It truly is Italy through and through.
